Parés Baltà

Parés Baltà has been owned by the Cusiné family since 1790 and has been passed down from father to son ever since. The company now covers 214 hectares and is located in Penedès, just west of Barcelona. With vineyards ranging from 170 to 750 metres above sea level (in all three subzones), different soil types and microclimates are achieved.

More knowledge through the generations
Three generations currently work together: grandmother Rosa Cusiné, son Joan Cusiné and his sons Joan and Josep Cusiné Carol. The sons’ wives, Marta Casas and Elena Jimenez, who have degrees in oenology, are the brains in the cellar, and tradition and modern knowledge go hand in hand.

Wines with certificates
From the very beginning, Parés Baltà has worked responsibly or organically. The family works with its own flock of sheep that fertilizes the soil and uses bees to bring the Mediterranean influences through pollination. Since 2004, the Cava’ and all the wines of the house have been certified organic and biodynamic.

Famous wines
The house, which is now a leader in the region, has a wide range of elegant, modern but still characteristic wines and Cavas that are praised by famous national and international wine critics.
