Zantho
Zantho is an initiative of the Winzerkeller Andau and the famous winemaker Josef Umathum. Of the 210 members of the Winzerkeller Andau, 70 very quality-conscious winegrowers work on this project. Together they cultivate around 100 hectares of the best vineyards in Andau. They work ‘naturnah’.
Andau
The name Zantho is the original name of Andau, from charters from 1488. The salamander on the label refers to the nature in the vineyards. The Pannonian salamander depicted on it only occurs in the protected nature reserve south of Andau.
